Cellophony with Sarah Fox

Cellophony’s morning concert last year was one of the highlights of the festival. Their return, with world-renowned soprano Sarah Fox, will be hotly anticipated. The programme includes Villa-Lobos’ stunning Bachianas Brasilieras no.5, composed for these very forces, and many inventive and sonorous arrangements of classical treasures.

Martin Taylor with Alison Burns

juice is an experimental vocal trio who perform an incredible mix of sounds from Central African-inspired riffs to vocal percussion; ethereal harmonies to growly drones. Rhodes Piano Trio

In 2011 the Rhodes Piano Trio won 2nd Prize at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. Selected for representation by YCAT in 2010, over the last year the Trio has given recitals at Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, the Chester, Lake District Summer Music, Edinburgh Fringe and Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festivals.

The release of ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ launched the Pavão Quartet’s genre bending and critically acclaimed recording career. A collection of complex but breathtaking versions of Hollywood standards, this release was defined by its warmth of sound and the Pavãos' obvious love of this repertoire.
